Very well known as piano-playing member of Cockney singing duo Chas And Dave. They were also prominent session musicians, for example hit track Eminem "My Name Is" (1999) contained its main hook taken from Labi Siffre "I Got The" track, taken from album "Remember My Song" (1975), on which Chas & Dave performed.

Following complications with cancer, he died of pneumonia.
