To me, Larry Fast incorporated the best between both worlds during the 1970's: rock versus electronic. He's the connecting link somewhere between Led Zeppelin / Pink Floyd meets Tangerine Dream / Vangelis among similar influences. On his first album in 1975 as Synergy (3) - Electronic Realizations For Rock Orchestra is full of progressive synthesizers and energetic electricity. I swear you start climbing the 'Stairway To Heaven' on Larry's track 'Warriors' around minutes 6 & 7. It's fascinating how he developed as a musician by adding his talents to so many bands over the years: from Nektar's space rock to Peter Gabriel's solo work after Genesis, then jazz fusion / prog rock Tony Levin Band and member of Wendy Carlos' Switched On Bach Ensemble. Although it's clear Larry remains true to the electronic side more since the liner notes end with "Synergy is the Essence of it all ...and nobody played guitar."
