Juan Pulido

Spanish singer (baritone), actor, and composer (born June 19, 1891 in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain - died November 23, 1972 in Mexico City, Mexico)

On June 19, 1891, he was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. His parents, Antonio and Dolores, felt that something abnormal was in the throat of a child who had just been born and was screaming so loudly.

He travels to Havana in 1928 and offers three concerts at the National Theater. Its success makes the visit repeat several times. Until 1944 he settled in Havana for five years. From there he goes to Mexico where he again meets Ramón Peón with whom he films a series of films. His incorporation into Mexican cinema resulted in 72 films in which he collaborated with diverse roles. In 1954 he abandoned all artistic activities, but remained in Mexico where he lived until his death in 1972.
