Frank Novak (2)

Real Name:
Frank Joseph Novak Jr.
September 17, 1900 - March 27, 1955. Not to be confused with the accordianist, polka and waltz composer of the same name (see Frank Novak), this artist was a multi-instrumentalist who recorded prolifically throughout the 1930s. He frequently backed Frank Luther (2) and Carson Robison, with whom he was associated for more than a dozen years. He was billed as a One Man Band and as Radio's prize utility man for his ability to play more than forty instruments. He directed orchestras on countless radio programs and appears in some short films. In the '30s and '40s, Novak worked on some Victor albums of children's music.
