Reverend (2)

Profile:

A defunct American speed, thrash and power metal band from Seattle, Washington. They formed sometime in early 1989. David Wayne just left Metal Church shortly before this band was assembled. Most of the earliest band members, were recruited from a Los Angeles power metal act named Heretic. Heretic's then singer Mike Howe, took over vocal duties in Metal Church. The original or early years of the band lasted until 1993. The band later reunited in 1998 and lasted until their disbandment in 2010. Original vocalist David Wayne died from complications resulting from a traffic accident in 2005. The band continued on with different vocalists, though no more original studio recordings ever surfaced after 2002. In 2015, there was news that an unreleased 1993 album featuring David Wayne resurfaced from the vaults. This was confirmed by remaining band members, though only one master cassette copy is said to exist of the album.
