AME got into the crate digging business at a young age but was originally into reggae, ska, rocksteady and dub. Then around the end of the 80's / early 90's he started hearing the great reggae hip-hop crossover sounds coming out of the London by the likes of Asher D, Daddy Freddy and The Ragga Twins. AME thought this was some of the best stuff he'd ever heard and from that point on got the into hip-hop.
Besides the whole diggin’-trading thing, which is takes up most of his time, AME can be caught doing a DJ set once in a while, as well doing some beats and scratching for local acts. He also runs a blog http://www.ridiculousraw.com/ dedicated to his passion about vintage & modern Soul, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Brazilian, Afro, Boogie, Disco, Psychedelica, Reggae, Exotica, Soundtracks, Library Music, Early Rap and beyond. He is also still part of the After Hours (3) stable along with his fellow belgian hip hop brother Davy Van Laere.
