Born: May 12, 1936.

David Snell is a British harpist and conductor.

His first professional post was as harpist with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, later joining the Orchestra Of The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. During the 1960s, '70s and '80s he also played for various London session orchestras, and in this way he contributed to many film and television scores and chart successes. Snell still works as a professional musician, mainly as conductor with The London Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestre De Paris, and also conducting the scores for films including "Cider House Rules", "Emma" and "Chocolat", among others.
