Tuur Praet

Arthur is born on 19 February 1954 in Ninove (Belgium) - † 18 July 2024.
Since his youth he was passionate about music. Together with René De Witte he founded in 1979 the record store Solbemol in Aalst, worked as a representative for various record companies, and later as Director concerned with releasing music by mainly singersongwriters. In the seventees he did management for artists as: Steve Ashley, Gerry Lockran, Ian Hunt Band, Finn Mac Cuill and organised several concerts in the folkclub Parnassos. In the eighties he was also the manager of the infamous pop group Lavvi Ebbel and White Light (2) and organised several concerts in large venues, such as the first Belgian concert of Motörhead.
He runned SOFA (Belgium) together with Lieve Vernaillen.
This busy and hectic life, combined with basketball as leisure, however, claimed its toll, he got a disc hernia. He was operated on, but could'nt go back to the stressful job of manager in the music world.He grabbed back to an old love namely: fishing!

Arthur was married with Lieve Vernaillen (°1954 - †10/02/2022)
The grief for his deceased wife made him sick. He obtained euthanasia on July 18, 2024.
