What to say about this poorly made contribution to so called punk-musik. Absolut intelligence reduced and free of any talent. The thing here is that this has been released at all. And eaven that could be more entertaining if it would have been a provocation or a demented statement as from Syd Barret or at least something puzzling like Hasil Adkins. But no, nothing just boring mediocrity and inability. But who wonders as it is a product of Germany´s notorious Rocko Rama Label. Founded by a right-wing electrician who never had anything to do with music or cultural issues but has been somehow impressed by Malcom McLarens Rock´n Roll Swindel idea. Off course in a way like the movers in a Dire Straits Song ages later. Or uneducated people react to modern art. (that´s the way you do it...) And yes without any understanding, passion or real interest. Wanna be as wanna be can be. And to pick up a still smoldering discussion no Nazis, just fascists !!! Like the left-wing of Stahlhelm in the 20ties without their elitist character on boulevard- level. Greetings to the AfD. And yes the taboo breaking and over affirmative use of Nazi symbols in Punk (in Germany national symbols of the Great War did the same job at the time) was a liberation and fun, indeed. But the artwork, band name and lyrics of OHL miss the eye blinking ironical character and with it fun and freedom but therefore with the aftertaste of admiration and "Stolz" after the pure shocking effect. And what started out to be some kind of "Junge Union Punk" seems to be the invention of right-wing populism. Not only their snowshoeing between left and right positions, their undistant and admiring use of the war theme, their frontfighters death-cult, but their amatory admiration for political and military violence in every way makes it that fascistic.
After that it doesn´t matter that their songs dream of the extinction of red spys or white Kaisers or the like. As well they´re the only band that I know that didn´t understand the ironically character of the "Kebabträume- Song" which they covered serious and humorless, pimped up with the line Schwarz-Rot-Gold. :-) Well listen to it on You tube if you must and save your money !!
