Axel Konrad is a German DJ and producer, known to be a member and producer of the famous techno / handsup groups DJ Valium, Baracuda and Groove Coverage. He created the Suprime Record label. He remains an important figure in handsup. Axel Konrad was born on February 2, 1977 in Ingolstadt, Germany, where he still lives. At the age of 14, he discovered a passion for deejaying and after a few years of study made his debut in 1993 as DJ-producer in clubs in Munich.

Influenced by Dutch house music, in 1998 he released his first title, Keep Da Clubstyle, self-produced, under the name of DJ Valium (teaming up with Ole Wierk also German DJ-producer). This title ranks at the top of the German charts. Two months later, he released the maxi R.U.F.F. Beat under his own name, and it was from there that he began to stand out in the business, receiving numerous orders for animations and mixes. In December of the same year, he joined forces with a 19-year-old singer, Tanja Korb, as part of DJ Valium, of which she would remain the main female voice, to produce Go Right For, a second single very popular in Germany. . Then will follow the singles almost regularly.

In 1999 and in parallel with DJ Valium, he joined forces with DJ Novus to create Groove Coverage, another handsup project, in which he will be deeply involved in the studio and in production. He also creates the techno project Teenagerz with Rob Mayth and performs many remixes.
