During this time, the skills of music production were being constantly developed in a bedroom studio alongside a love of 2-deck mixing and by 1997 everything was coming together. As the music progressed and matured into the basic elements of Drum & Bass, a chance meeting with an old friend lead to the setting up of a pirate radio station called Fresko FM which played beats from old to new every weekend. At the same time, advances in technology and new-found contacts world-wide lead to a batch of releases for Blanko in 1999 and 2000 coupled with the chance to test reactions to new dubplates on the radio. Blanko went on to play on Outcast, Renegade, Don and Flex FM through the years. As well as single releases, Blanko has written music for television, websites, music libraries, jingles and also does some remixing work.
