Dutch jazz bandleader, composer, arranger and reeds player, born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, 4 November 1944 - died 23 July 2010. He was co-founder of the ICP (Instant Composers Pool), and since 1974 he has led the Willem Breuker Kollektief, which performs jazz in a theatrical and often unconventional manner. In 1974 he also founded the Dutch label BV Haast Records.
