In 1955, Walter Spriggs
joined The Kansas City Tomcats
, a rhythm & blues group that also included Brooks Lewis, Jimmy Waters, and Kansas Citians Leonard Enois
and Eddie Saunders (3)
. In October of 1955 the group auditioned for Jubilee Records and were soon recorded. In November Jubilee releases the record on its Josie label as #786 - "Meet Me Meet Me Baby" and "Nobody Knows". In May 1956 Josie released a second single by the group with "Blues For Josie" and "Don't You Know" as #798.
