Sal Watts

American film actor, director, producer, and owner of "Mr. Sal's" record stores in Oakland, California.

He created Sal/Wa Enterprises together with Jamie Watts. The company was created during the making of the motion picture" Solomon King", which he starred in, directed, and produced. He intended to handle both films and records. In 1975 they recruited Warren Gray, former sales manager of Sussex Records, to handle Sal / Wa Records. Sal/Wa also had publishing and managment divisions under the company umbrella.
In 1976 Sal Watts had moved on and owned Marsel Records Inc.. He also was owner of "Mr. Sal's Fashions" clothing store chain in Oakland and Los Angeles, California. He served in the US Army from 1958-1962.
