German American tenor and choral director (born November 1866 in Germany)

Muench emigrated to the United States in 1889 and settled first in Newark, then in West Hoboken, New Jersey, where he worked as a professional singer. Muench also led several German-language choirs. In 1912, he is listed as the director of the Rothmänner Gesang Verein von Hudson County. In 1922, he served as the Director of the Liederkranz von Union Hill (West Hoboken), the West Hoboken Männerchor, and the North Hudson Männerchor (West New York).

Muench recorded numerous German songs for Columbia, Victor, and other labels between 1901 and 1916.
