The Vetos were a pop duo group formed by Dane Jeffries
and Paul Fulford
of the post punk band The Never Never Band
around 1982. The group continued their former band's regular gigs at various venues, including the Corndolly and The Pennyfarthing in Oxford. Whilst Paul continued to play the Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 synthesizer, Dane played a Simmons Claptrap analogue drum synthesizer which was known as 'Treacle'. Their two singles were once record of the week on the Andy Peeble show and did a studio session, which included two additional tracks from a planned third single, 'Sardine Island'.
