Craneo De Jade

Mexican Jazz/Rock band. The origins of this ensemble are in the grounds to shared and look into free improvisation as a conduit toward musical freedom and creativity. Cráneo de Jade is inspired by free improvisation. Since 1994, Cráneo the Jade has been playing and giving their own specific approach to free improvisation itself and they have recorded three albums: Cráneo de Jade (Opción Sónica, 1996), Papirolas (JazzCat, 1999) and Pleione (Quindecim, 2002).
The trio has played in several jazz festivals, schools and houses of culture within the country and abroad, as in: Festival Internacional de Jazz de la Habana, Festival de las Artes Puebla, Congreso Internacional de Clarinetes y Saxofones, Escuela Nacional de Música, Sala Ollin Yoliztli, Festival de Jazz Campeche, Festival JazzHabito, Festival de Música por la Tierra, Festival Más Jazz, ArtLife JazzFest, Festival Internacional Viva Vivaldi, Festival Internacional de Bateristas and in forums like Palacio de Minería, Plaza de las Artes (Centro Nacional de las Artes), Teatro Benito Juárez, Museo de la Ciudad de México, Multiforo Ollin Kan, among others
