Yes, they were influenced by Depeche Mode...quite normal considering that DM is the biggest electronic band in history. Cetu produced some classic songs in the synth pop genre: "Situations", "Have In Mind", "Adonde", "Southern Lands", & "Quien Lo Sabia?". At least they didn't try to look like DM like Red Flag did. And they catered more to Spanish speaking countries which was a nice change. If anything, they should be called the "Spanish Depeche Mode".

Seriously, if you ever hear an '80s song that you think must be by Depeche Mode, but not quite as good, and like the lead singer has a cold, it's probably by Cetu Javu. Or perhaps Camouflage. Or Red Flag. Or [Invalid Artist].
