Nugget (3)

Bluegrass Group from Austria/Czech Republic

NUGGET was founded in early 1976 by Helmut and Werner Mitteregger and Wolfgang Motzko in Vienna. The first few years were marked by many changes of musicians and all the problems with the material procurement in the late 70s. There were almost no records, and literature only rarely. The first serious performances started in 1977 in Vienna.
Only Helmut and Werner remained as pillars of the band until the first USA Tour 1984. In 1985 the bandcarried on with Willie Bell, Hannes Neubauer and Thomas Reingruber, and .NUGGET recorded the first record. "Golden Distance" . In 1989, Helmut began his quest for ever higher musical level with the search for fellow campaigners abroad. Ingo Sandhofen from Munich, Thierry Massoubre from Paris, Warren Amberson from Germany, Katarina Porizkova from Slovakia and many musicians from the Czech Republic played with NUGGET for some time. With the addition of Jarda Jahoda, another cornerstone of the current NUGGET cast has been laid.
From 1990 to the millennium, a trio to quintet occupation with Helmut, Katarina and Thierry Massoubre manifested as a regular player.
After a brief break of fifteen years, in which he was perfectly represented by Jakub Racek, Thierry has been back on the road with NUGGET since 2016, delighting audiences and players with his wonderful musical self-evident qualities. (
