Alice Tambourine Lover are based in Bologna (Italy) it's a male/female duo mixing folk, blues, psychedelia and desert/rock elements. Guided by the voice of Alice Albertazzi, their songs travel through magical and dreamy suggestions, alternating with shadows of realistic lo-fi blues realism by guitarist / bassist Gianfranco Romanelli.
Alice Albertazzi and Gianfranco Romanelli, begin their collaboration by playing together in ALIX, an Italian psych band with five albums, including "Good One", recorded by Steve Albini in 2009. ALIX will also open the Shellac concert at “Paradiso" in Amsterdam. In 2012 and they play in the english festival "All Tomorrow's Parties" together with bands such as Neurosis, Shellac, Red Fang, Uzeda and many more.
Alice Tambourine Lover was born in 2011 and in just three years they released three records for the label Go Down Records: "Naked Songs 2012", "Star Rovers" 2013 and "Like A Rose" 2015, the latter contains two unreleased tracks by Dandy Brown (Hermano, Orquesta Del Desierto) and John Garcia (Kyuss, Unida, Hermano). The cover of "Like A Rose" is signed by californian photographer Ed Ross.
Film directors, Iris Elezi & Thomas Logoreci, choose two of their songs "Hungry Thieves" (Alice Tambourine Lover) and "The Sweet Smelling-Roads" (Alix), for the soundtrack of the film "Bota Cafè" .
