Irma Rogell

"Irma Rogell was one of the last pupils of Wanda Landowska and a pioneer American harpsichordist who was a member of the Boston Camerata in its early days and a prominent figure in Boston's Early Music scene in the 1960s. After leaving Boston, she centered activities in Europe, retiring early from the concert stage because of arthritis." -- Richard Dyer, The Boston Globe, January 21, 2000.

"A graduate of Harvard, Irma Rogell initiated the harpsichord department at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge. [...] She has been on the faculties of the Longy School, The Ethical Culture School in New York, York College of the City University of New York, and, most recently, New England Conservatory in Boston." -- Liner notes to Irma Rogell - Recital Debut.
