As a guitarist, Williams Waters won many prizes including the international Andrès Segovia competition in Palma de Mallorca, the "José Miguel Ruis Morales" prize, the A.M.C.O.N. and the "Concert guild award" and made his debut at Carnegie hall, NY. Williams Waters went on to specialize in the study of the lute, attending courses with Hopkinson Smith and Rolf Lislevand.
He has taught lute at the Barcelona Conservatory and at summer schools in Santiago de Compostela and Sardinia.
He is the regular continuo player with the Lachrimae Consort on lute, vihuela and theorbo.
