Bent could very well be my favourite musical duo of all time!
I really can't love them enough, honestly.
You're are always in my heart!

Great downtempo, chillout artist who I have always admired. Best album: Programmed to Love

Post-house outfit Bent spoon-feed you chilled, pop-friendly delights dripping with trendy yet appealing sound textures and inventive knob-twiddling techniques. Dreamy lo-fi arrangements piece together bottomless synths with lazy beats and past-remembering vocal loops to envelop your consciousness in comfort. Future-looking cuts employ featherweight melodies to wrestle with fatigued rhythms, creating a magical electronic listening experience known only to those that frequent Ibiza in the summertime. Inviting grooves that ask you to lie back and doze....they'd rub your tired feet if they could!

I am extremely new to this artist, but already I've found myself impressed by them. Several appearances of Bent on Chillout compilations helped me discover some wonderful Downtempo/Lounge music. "Private Road" and "Cylons In Love" are the favourites at the moment. I look forward to getting my hands on their albums. A sensational duo and, in my opinion, one of the best contributions towards the Chillout scene.

Bent are an amazing duo who have been fusing sounds for over a decade now, and ever since I first heard Swollen back in '01 I believe, I got hooked. Their sound can be described as leftfield and downbeat grooves with excellent electronica elements I suppose.

...and that is exactly why I ended up posting a comment on this page. I first heard Bent through their Cafe Del Mar contribution "Swollen" around 2001. It was a nice enough track but nothing really standing out (would be difficult if you're a track in the CDM series). Then I heard them again in the hypnotic and ethereal "Private Road" which I heard in a Chillout compilation. I've been playing "Private Road" over and over again anywhere....all the time.

If you are a fan of the "Lounge" , downbeat or experimental downbeat genre , bent is definately worth a listen.

High quality Synths mixed with voice samples from old records really brings out a style of music that is hard to find ... if not impossible to match. They have a sound simular to Air ...

This music grows on you , and i can definately say that its not something for the mainstream listener or the person that wants music to instantaniously grab him/her.

But once you notice the beauty of the music you will find yourself hunting down every Bent album that you can find.

I would suggest trying "music for BBQ's " as a starting point ... it would give you a brief overview of the sound that Bent produces. (but this is in no way their definative album , its just got my fav track on it ;)

My favourite songs are swollen , Duke thing and always. To me these are Really superb tracks ... give it a listen.
