Sackback

Metalband from Dokkum in The Netherlands.

Sackback was formed in 2013 as an instrumental trio by guitarist Klaas Haaksma, guitarist Frank van der Ploeg and drummer Max van der Meij. Their first gig was in front of a local musicstore. In 2014 Van der Ploeg switched to bassguitar and also became the singer of the band. Sackback also found a second guitarist in the person of Frank Homma. That same year they played at the Bevrijdingsfestival in Leeuwarden. In 2015 the band gave 2 concerts on the partystage of the Dokk'em Open Air festival. Sackback played covers by bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Kiss, Dio, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Anthrax, Motörhead, Slayer and UFO.

The next year they started to write their own material and recorded a track for the Frisian Hard 'N Heavy compilation on Big Bad Wolf Records. 2017 saw the release of their first full length album Bloodlovers.
