Profile: | Gidi Gov (born 4 August 1950 in Rehovot) is an Israeli singer, actor and TV host. In 1969, after enlisting in the IDF, Yair Rosenblum suggested he audition for The Nahal Troupe. He passed the audition and while in the Troupe he met both his wife, Anat Gov, and most of the other musicians who would join him in the founding of Kaveret in 1973, considered the most successful rock/pop group in Israeli music history. After the band broke up in 1976 Gov appeared in a number of movies and television series and sang in the bands Gazoz and Doda (3). He launched his solo career with a self-titled album in 1978.
