George John Bennett

George John Bennett studied at the Royal Academy of Music where he was later appointed a professor of Harmony and Composition in 1888, after having studied organ and composition under Rheinberger in Munich for two years. Dr. Bennett was appointed Organist at Lincoln Cathedral in 1895 at the age of 32 and remained there until his death.
