The Beltones

Rocksteady group formed in late 60's by Bop (10), Keith Mitchell and Owen Laing.
In about 1968 Trevor Shield joined the group and then Bop left.
Disbanded in early 70's after a bad financial period even though their songs became No. 1 in England and Harry J advised them to go to there.

Trevor Shield then joined the Fantels, sometimes perceived as being the same group as The Beltones, but they are different groups.
At one point The Fantels considered renaming themselves The Beltones, but never did.
