Area Code 615 were a group of session players from Nashville, Tennessee who took their name from their area phone code.
The origins of the band began when Wayne Moss, Charlie McCoy and Kenny Buttrey backed Bob Dylan on his 1966 album
Blonde on Blonde. McCoy and Buttrey also performed on Nashville Skyline and John Wesley Harding. Moss was the owner of
the studio where some of members of Area Code 615 backed artists such as Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Linda Ronstadt
and George Harrison. In 1969 they released their self-titled album Area Code 615 and Trip In The Country in 1970 which are
completely instrumentals...
