Two comments on the Discogs notes for John Sommers. 1) Aspen is misspelled as Apsen. 2) As John relates the story, "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" was written by him before he met John Denver. John Sommers' group played the song at a Colorado venue and John Denver heard it there. He put the who band on a plane to New York and recorded it. That was the beginning of John and John's long friendship and collaboration.
