Real Name:Jahn Teigen
Profile:

Jahn Teigen was a Norwegian singer, musician and comedian, born Jan Teigen on Sept. 27, 1949 in Tønsberg (Vestfold), died Feb. 24, 2020 at the hospital in Ystad, Sweden, a city in the far south outside of which he was based in an old farm (in Ingelstorp) since 2006.

In 1969 he was briefly one of the singers in the Denmark based English band The Red Squares, who'd become teenage idols in both Sweden and Denmark. After their Israeli tour that year, they disbanded just before Christmas. From 1972 to 1977, he was the lead singer of the important, Norwegian progressive rock band Popol Vuh (2), later Popol Ace, but he'd left the band before the release of their last album, the 1978 Curly Sounds. After that, he started a long and prolific solo career as a singer, with its highs and lows, as well as being a member of the comedy group Prima Vera (2) 1977-84.

Teigen was married to Anita Skorgan in 1984-88, and they have a daughter, Sara Teigen, together.
