The Five Tymes

Garage band from Duluth, MN. Don Legendre and Jerry Pelletier started playing guitars together in 1962, and recruited John Flint and Bob Berini to play with them. Paul Ottinger was added as lead vocalist later. All five were students at Duluth East HS. Don, Bob and Jerry played Guitar. John Flint played Drums and Sax. They were playing local gigs and dances when Jimmy Reed, a DJ for WEBC radio in Duluth, heard them, took them under his wing and got them additional dances and a recording session in Minneapolis. The label changed their name from the Marauders to the Five Tymes (presumably because another band was already using that name).
