An American hip hop artist who began his career in 1978 as a DJ in New York and, by 1985, released his first record. In 1986, he purportedly was the first artist to make a 'wop' song, titled "Wop It Up Yall". Later that year, he became religious, which influenced his musical style and led him to purportedly become the first gospel rap artist in New York. During his career, he has purportedly performed in over 750 places. In addition to his career as a musician, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 22 years and, upon his retirement, launched a clothing line, "Designs By Marty Grace".
