even if i think he is a bit overhyped (when it comes to the records he has released so far, never seen him playing live, though), there is one thing you cannot deny:

his sound has something special, something very recognizable. it's a very distinctive and personal sound and this cannot be said of most artists in the electronica music scene. you immediately realize "oh, this is probably a redshape track", and for this quality he simply deserves credit.
