I first learned of these guys (well at least one of them initially) back in 2003 or 2004 through a local promoter who was billing a DJ Sasha of Organic Grooves to play on a Saturday at a venue I was playing at with my crew on Fridays in DC. Of course, DC being more of a prog town led the promoter to catch a bit of flak for "keyword spamming" for the other more well-known Sasha. I assume Crnobrnja was based in NY and think he came down a few times to play there. I really liked what I heard him play as it was a soundtrack that I was learning more of at the time - a mixture of original and of the then "contemporary" punk/funk/disco/nowave sound that seemingly hasn't gone away.
Sometime downline, I learned that he was one half of Il Flagranti and per Discogs back in Europe (tracing the production credits). One part of me thinks their productions are just disposable catchy trash, but I also think it's like a seriously intended parody that actually hits the mark.
I like how they also produce videos that go along with their productions which primarily features montages of vintage commercials, underground documentaries, and seemingly softcore pr0n. To me, the end products are carefully selected set of memorialized sound and memories that at first blush could fall in the disposable and readily forgotten category. No comment on the legality of the usage of materials, but it's done to a good effect.
Fans should definitely check out the Brockenstube channel on youtube. It is "All that and a bag of chips!"
