Joris Voorn's music has always had a real feeling to it , maybe not all but some of his tracks are seminal pieces of work . His earlier stuff captured our imagination and he has gone onto release plenty more great tracks . Well deserved his award early this year . I Hope he continues to make great music and not sell out to the masses now he is more well known

As Enrique I got the first touch with Joris' music for a year by the 'Muted Trax 1 & 2' on Keynote and his sound immediately overawed me. How can we describe it? Hmmm... Deep & atmospheric tech-house-electro with oldschool & Detroit feeling. Soulful and uplifting - as Alexander Kowalski says. Or just simply Joris Voorn!
By now he has made a string of amazing releases: both EP on Sino, both on Sound Architecture, Line 3/4, and the brand new album on Sino again. ...and this just the beginning!
I think with the 'Future History' he squarely lift up himself among the most-important producers of the electronic-music history. For me, the best newcomer of the decade without any doubt!

Yeah, I discovered Joris about one year ago, and after listening to the muted 12 inches' I realize I was in front a big supernova. Joris' music is deep, lusty and sensorial to the most, no pretentiousness but GOOD songs, some of them excellent. I support 100% this artist as the next big thing outta Europe besides the Kompakt guys & Ellen Allien. Techno as one of the belle arts.

I cant believe im the first one to say anything about joris voorn. Although he is a relatively new comer to the scene, he has released some massive tracks. His live Pa's and dj sets are absolutely amazing. His the best out there in my opinion, if smooth, deep, funky, tight yet rugged tech is what you like theres no past going past Joris. Techno needs more dudes like him
