Lost Boyz

Profile:

Lost Boyz is a hip-hop group from South Jamaica, Queens, New York City, known for their energetic style and streetwise storytelling. The group originally consisted of Mr. Cheeks (Terrance Kelly), Freaky Tah (Raymond Rogers), Spigg Nice (Ronald Blackwell), and Pretty Lou (Eric Ruth). They gained national attention in the mid-1990s with their debut album Legal Drug Money (1996), which included hits like Lifestyles of the Rich & Shameless, Renee, and Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz. Their follow-up album, Love, Peace & Nappiness (1997), featured the Grammy-nominated single Me & My Crazy World.
Tragedy struck in 1999 when Freaky Tah was fatally shot, marking a turning point for the group. Additionally, in 2004, Spigg Nice was sentenced to 37 years in prison for his involvement in a series of bank robberies. Despite these challenges, Mr. Cheeks pursued a solo career while continuing to honor the Lost Boyz legacy. The group reunited in later years, dropping albums like Legacy (2020) under their label Lost Boyz Entertainment / ONE RPM. In 2021, they performed their single Lost Boyz Anthem on Nick Cannon’s Wild 'n Out, bringing their music to a new generation of hip-hop fans. Freaky Tah’s son, Freaky Kah, has followed in his father's footsteps, carving out his own path in hip-hop while keeping the Lost Boyz legacy alive.
