Danish vocalist, keyboardplayer and composer (September 14, 1949 - March 31, 2003) who enjoyed chart succes from the very start of his career when he joined Sir Henry & His Butlers and throughout the 70's and 80's as a solo artist until alcohol addiction gradually took over and ruined his career. After his death his skills as a pop composer has been praised by fellow musicians.
In 1979 he ranked number 6 at the Eurovision Song Contest with "Disco Tango" and in 1981 ranked number 11 with " Krøller Eller Ej " (Danish version) / "Straight or Curly Hair" (English version) in duet with Debbie Cameron, both songs coauthored by Keld Heick. He participated in the Danish Melodi Grand Prix a number of other times during the 1980s (1980, 1982, 1984, 1985 and 1987) without winning the competition. He participated newly in the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 with the entry " Under stjernerne på himlen", (in English language, "Under the stars of the sky") but has finished with a poor rank 22th place (between 25 entries) and Denmark was relegated from competing in 1994.
