Hailing from New York, Reza has been regularly composing and producing for almost a decade. In January of 2013, Vexillary’s debut EP, Taste Masking, was released as part of Blaq Records’ acclaimed Blaqnet digital series. Recorded over a two-year period, Taste Masking features tracks in varied tempos and styles that are tied thematically through horror and sci-fi .
2016 sees Vexillary gearing up for the release of his sophomore EP for Blaq records, Chemica Divina. A conceptual record, Chemica Divina, explores the themes of chemical sciences and their link to the divine. Once again, ambient synth lines glaze the record’s militant beats to form Vexillary’s rich decadent and unique sound. Featuring remixes by Blaq records’ label bosses, Signal Deluxe, and UK bass maestro Mokujin, Chemica Divina’s rhythmic onslaught sparks an incendiary sonic experience that is sure to burn through your sound system.
Reza is currently working on new Vexillary material while laying the foundation for future live performances. We can expect him to carry on doing music on his own terms and further develop his sound, and if Taste Masking and Chemica Divina are any indication, that exploration will surely remain out of the ordinary.
