Arovane has to be one of the most underrated artists on our great planet. Everything Uwe touches is just absolute magic, from 1999 all the way to now..

I would like to thanks Arovane for his subtle sensitivity.
Refering to his early 2000s works, I love how the melodies are extra soft, simple, warm and natural, comforting, smelling like some soap or fresh linen, and by contrast, how cold, precise and intelligent are the percs, as if they were created in a laboratory. It's so well-balanced, and gave to computer a human face. Back in the days, it really was something new. This numerical/clicky way to design music, but in order to create something true and natural coming from the heart, was a revolution. It was cool for a certain part of the electronic scene to sound clever and forward-thinking back in the first half of the 2000s. And that's what I love and hail. There's almost like a kind of romanticism in this music, something audacious and on a higher level. I'm still fascinated by this aesthetics done by discreet artists like Arovane, years and years after the first discovery. When I hear tracks like "Lenc/crade", "Delc-r" or "Lilies", I sometimes wonder : was the future actually more than a decade ago?

Good news: "In the Fall of 2013 the n5MD imprint will release an all new Arovane album titled "ve palor". " Can't wait! :)

A genius among men... comparing his sound to Autechre is like comparing all electronic music to Aphex or all downtempo to Boards of Canada. Maybe some people think all music sounds the same when it comes from DSP ?

Go work on your objective listening skills, seriously.

Regarding taste, there is no argument.

Having listened to early Autechre and Arovane works there undoubtedly is homage to Autechres cold aesthetic and that is were the line is drawn.

Arovane just happens to make tracks that are unforgettable once you hear them.

If this is unique? I don't know. Because Arovane, to me, is the best translator of the early Autechre LP's around, or at least everything up untill "Lilies". When you listen carefully, the audio synthesis being used has a striking similarity with Amber and Incunanbula by Autechre. It still is wonderful material full of texture en depth...
I consider this more to be a further development of, an ode to or an addition to pioneers Autechre.

One of the few artists who have such a unique sound of their own. Arovane creates such heart-melting soundscapes full of yearning. Buy into this beautiful and haunting sound and you won't be disappointed. Organic machine music for romantics.
