Josip Boček is a guitarist, songwriter, producer, studio musician and arranger, born 1950 in Osijek, Croatia.
He started his music career as a guitarist in various bands from his hometown, such as Lavine, "Eliksiri", and Dinamiti.
With his schoolmate Dado Topić he formed a band "Eliksiri" in 1964, while still in elementary school and they were playing covers from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Spencer Davis Group etc.
"Eliksiri" disbanded in 1967, so Josip Boček and Dado Topić joined Dinamiti.

In 1975 he was a member of a project named Kongres Rock Majstora, that also included guitarists Goran Bregović (Bijelo Dugme), Vedran Božić (Time) and Miodrag Bata Kostić (Yu Grupa).
