Their second release a double A side 7" via Melbourne label Desert Highways showcases a more matured songwriting, combining a wider range of influences. Still retaining their huge sound and drawing heavily on stoner / desert rock vibes. The tracks Ether & The Great Dark have been met with great response.
Their debut double A side, the first featured - Star Destroyer - starts with thundering drums and a cacophony of sound that betrays what you would think capable from a mere two piece act. Vocals crackle over a chorus that captures the energy of 80s metal whilst somehow staying true to its desert / stoner rock roots. ‘Second track’ - Adrift - has a violent addictive energy to it that sucks a listener in pummels them and spits them out three minutes later craving an audial beating once more. It plays out like an epic war-cry to the desert / stoner / metal world where the weapon of choice is the deadly destructive riffs that Ohm Rune abandon all hope with.
