Kuro Silence is the enigmatic frontman of his group Off Center. Noted for his distinctive voice, flows, and speaking patterns, Kuro is a classic lyricist with an appreciation for both new and old school Hip Hop, and is know to often merge the two into his own style. Kuro's flow is described as intense, by using extraordinary breath control, wordplay, and hidden meanings Kuro manages to distinguish himself from regular emcees with his ability.
Kuro's career in music began in production. At age 15, during this time Kuro had only began to produce for fun. Kuro began taking more interest after finding out that a few of his friends had stared their own group and needed a producer. The group's atmosphere helped Kuro work on and develop his skills in lyricism and production. Kuro's following quickly expanded at age 16 after spending the whole summer developing his craft and releasing work. This prompted him to produce more frequently and with better quality. Kuro used this following as a base for his lyrical artistry. At age 18 Kuro released his "Lately" EP that quickly rose to local acclaim. Kuro released his second project, "Kid" in late October 2016.
Kuro's subject matter often switches, ranging from very introverted, existential, inquisitive, and self destructive topics, to more outside, external, and political issues. Kuro uses his music to bring light to situations that often go unnoticed in current events, often reflecting on his past experiences as reference for his song subjects. Kuro's experiences can often be seen in all of his music. Kuro's settings are often small urban environments that ironically show how small the world actually can be and relate to everything else around him.
Kuro's lyrical skill does not just apply to his in studio works. Kuro has and is used to preforming with live bands over live instrumentation. Kuro is also well versed in the art of freestlyling as that is where his career began. Kuro is currently working to expand his influence and reach.
