He began playing the piano at age 9 and at 14 buying vinyl and DJing, playing at private and school parties that he organised himself for more than 2000 people. In '99, he began performing in local clubs (Miami, Shalimar, Melody Sirens, Sunny) and hosted a Saturday night show called "Orbital" on a local radio station.
As the years progressed, Micky got more and more into rare grooves and the American sound of the '70's by artists Stevie Wonder, The Salsoul Orchestra, Philadelphia Sound, and Crown Heights Affair in addition to jazz music, namely artists Herb Alpert, Bert Kaempfert, Miles Davis and Jimmy Smith.
In 2001, at the age of 19, he finished school and began his DJ career fulltime, playing in the clubs of the Italian Adriatic Riviera (Ecu, Peter Pan, Cocorico, Pascia, Baia Imperiale, Prince).
His work as a DJ is paralleled with his meticulous studio achievements, always seeking the perfect sound in producing his tracks. His competent determination has made him one of the most interesting Italian producers gaining respect abroad. The EP "Straight to the Moon" is an undoubtable example of that. Released in January, 2006 by the british label Peng, it earned him the love and respect of his peers, Dimitri From Paris, Brian Tappert, Jay-J, Richard Earnshaw, Franck Roger, Jask, Mr. V, Luis Radio and Audiowhores, just to name a few.
Currently, Micky continues to perform in clubs in Italy and abroad as well as in live sessions playing with artists from the Italian funk/jazz scene, keyboardist Riccardo Burattini, saxophonist Stefano 'Fefo' Catani and trombonist and conductor of the Colors Jazz Orchestra, Massimo Morganti. Currently he is featured on Paradise Garage Radio Show as a special guest.
Appreciated for his exciting music selections, mixing technique, the 4/4 drums with jazz, funk & soul influences in addition to electric synths and breathtaking gospel voices, is his distinguishing hallmark.
