Département d'Éducation Psychique started as a one-off collaboration between French electroacoustic veteran Jean-Marc Foussat and Dreesvn, a duo of Dynamo Dreesen and SVN/Sven Rieger. After three musicians gave concert at Parisian club La Java in July 2014, they got together at Foussat's home and recorded their debut improvised album, Musique Improvisée LP, released on Dreesen's Acido Records. Two years later, DEP resurfaced with a follow-up album, Untitled 2xLP on Foussat's Fou Records, recorded live February 2016 at Ohm club in Berlin.
