British Drum 'n' Bass DJ and occasional producer, born in September 1964.
Former resident DJ at influential club nights Speed, Tempo, Promised Land and resident DJ/promoter at Swerve.
Hosted radio shows on Phase One and, with Grooverider, Radio 1, Kiss FM and Rinse FM.
Founder and owner of the Creative Source label.
Fabio's nickname came from his time on Brixton-based pirate station Phase One around 1984 when he was asked to come up with a DJ name before his first show. He remembered a conversation with a girl he knew about baby names and thought "Fabio" was a great one. He introduced himself as "DJ Fabio" and the name stuck.
Fabio is known for pioneering a style of Drum 'n' Bass he named 'liquid'. The name came from hip hop group The Likwit Junkies' description of their music as 'liquid funk'.
