Profile: | British composer, record producer and percussionist, born in 1959. One of the UK’s most influential British Asian musicians, a pioneer of Bhangra in Britain. His MBE was awarded in 2009 with the citation “For services to Bhangra and British Asian Music”. He received an honorary Doctorate by the University of Exeter in 2010. |
