Yeah I used to be good friends with Olivier (from Rapt) about 30 years ago... He was quite a lot of fun.

Further proof that bad musicians are bad but terrible ones are THE BEST; you couldn't force a "real musician" to compose OR perform any ov the "songs" ov RAPT, not at gunpoint, not in any way. N'est pas possible. They couldn't do it. Although self-Identified in it's own micro-era ov the mid-80s as "Thrash" and its conspicuous fraternization with the Netherlands "fastcore" quartet, LARM, the virulently anti-metal stance and a delivered intensity that progresses past hardcore (punk) would mean that for all intents and purposes, this music ov RAPT is not only POWERVIOLENCE but essentially so. No one quite SPITS CONTEMPT like the French.
