Came across an interesting LP today. It is called The World of Dorothy Parker and it was released on Verve, cat. # V-15029, in 1964.

It is a recording of Dorothy Parker reading her work, recorded in 1964.

Side 1 is a single, long track, called "I Live On Your Visits."

Side 2 consists of "Arrangement in Black & White, " Book Review, " and "Four Verses: Partial Comfort, Bohemia, Coda & War Song."

It is from Verve's "Celebrity Series" and my copy is stamped on the back cover "For Promotional Use Only; Not For Sale."

It was produced by Lawrence D. Stewart, who also wrote the long essay which fills the front and back covers of the LP jacket. There is a small photo of an aged Dorothy Parker on the back cover, which is credited to Brad Fuller. There are no other credits. I can not create new listings on Discogs because I'm on the CIP but if anyone would like to list this album I can provide photos of the cover and labels.
