Established in 2005, Dr.Ox began life as an electroacoustic improvisation duo fusing the immediacy of real-time improvisation performance with the sonic and structural intensity of the compositional process.
Dr.Ox works with real-time sampling, transformation and a hierarchy of compositional building blocks in an immediate and 'live' performance art. The sound of an acoustic cello is transformed into surreal sonic-pictures, carrying the listener on a rich electroacoustic journey.
