Don Davis started his career as guitarist with the Pee Wee King band.
He's one of the first steel pedal guitar player.
He's a music publisher, producer, arranger and session musician (over 3000 recordings).
Producer for Johnny Cash, Lefty Frizell, Kitty Wells to name a few. He also produced the first Contemporary Gospel record to reach the Pop Charts, "Jesus Is A Soul Man".
Was married, twice, to Anita Carter.
Even if Don Davis is much known as a rock / blues / country musician, he has also played occasionally in the jazz aera.
